The Whitehouse Dental Practice is open during these difficult times.
We are proud to announce that we have been successful in keeping Coronavirus away from the practice. This is how we manage the on-going problems of COVID-19
- We triage our patients 24 hours before appointments
- We triage ourselves and take our temperatures on a daily basis
- We keep in touch with the very latest guidelines
- Most of the staff have had their first vaccination- the second will be about Easter
- All PPE worn is exclusively for the patient seen.
- We use a very sophisticated method of cleaning all surfaces with Hypochlorous acid.
- All uniforms and staff aprons are washed and dried in-house at 90 degrees. These do not leave the practice under any circumstances.
- Nursing staff have undergone training in environmental cleaning and sterilisation.
- There is enough time between patients allowing for extensive cleaning.
- Regimes are monitored daily.
What we would like you to do:
- Answer our triage questions as accurately as you can.
- Wear a face covering when entering the building and sanitize your hands using our medical grade hand gel. (we understand if you are exempt from a face covering, or may have allergies just let us know)
- Understand that the staff are only keeping you safe and may ask you to wait before you enter or keep you waiting in your car a little bit longer. We are making sure that you do not cross paths with other patients who may be slower leaving the practice.
- Please do not be upset with us if we re make your appointment if your answers to our triage questions don’t meet with our criteria. Or your temperature exceeds 37.8 degrees.
- Finally, please understand that we are all doing our absolute best to make the practice the same as it has ever been. We are a friendly crew looking after you and it upsets us that we can’t be as hands on as we usually are. Filling appointments are being booked as soon as a slot becomes available- we have to allow for half an hour fallow after each filling appointment which uses the high-speed drill and therefore this has impacted on the appointment book.
Things will get back to normal again, we are still able to give the highest quality of care with humour and professionalism whatever coronavirus has thrown at us. We looked forward to the time when our vaccinated patients have the freedoms they have had before.
One more thing to add…..
We have decided to do our own on-call and the four dental surgeons will be available after hours to give advice in an emergency. Please phone the practice if you need us out of hours and listen to the message. We never will leave a patient in need of emergency treatment.
